PMI Worldwide Employees Celebrate Earth Day Around the World
This Earth Day, PMI Worldwide employees around the world are gathering (virtually and in-person!) to celebrate and conserve nature. This day provides a significant opportunity to reflect on how we can positively impact the planet – as individuals, families, teams, companies, and communities.
Our teams continue to explore creative opportunities to feel connected with each other and with nature, while maintaining safety. Our teams in North America hosted a virtual drop-in celebration celebrating PMI’s new environmental goals and our personal commitments. The team in Seattle even planted flowers and seeds for our office patio and our homes. Our China offices organized special clean-up events in their community and gathered employee commitments for “going green” this year.
Back in Seattle, our Global Head of CSR, Emily Cichy, shared some of her thoughts on how to engage your families on this day and beyond. She says, “Every Earth Day, my family and I like to talk about some of the ways we can help the planet in the days and months ahead.” Here are her three simple suggestions!
- Focus on what you love and celebrate about nature.
- Commit to at least one more thing you can do this year to help protect the planet.
- Pick an environmental cause to support with your time, talents, or money.
